Ambika Biography
Ambika (Malayalam: അംബിക) (born: 6 November 1962) is an Indian film actress. She has acted in a number of South Indian films. She started her career with the Malayalam movie Mamangam in 1979. Within a couple of years she became a busy actress not only in Malayalam, but also in Tamil and Kannada as well[citation needed]. Her sister Radha is also an actress. She has acted with Kamal Haasan in many movies and has appeared in glamorous roles in movies like Kaakki Sattai, Vikram, and Kadhal Parisu. Ambika remained under spotlights for over a shorter period as she didn’t act in many films. But, most of her films have been big superstars Kamal Hassan, Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Mammootty, Vijayakanth and more leading actors.[1] Bhagyaraj introduced Ambika in his movie "Andha 7 Natgal". Getting married, she settled down at United States and after a longtime returns around 1999 and acted in important role in Jodi. Ambika has been acting all tiny roles up to recent release "vel". After a long time she is going to act as one of the heroine in Vikaraman’s forthcoming project "Mariyathai". Captain Vijayakanth would act as dual role. [2]
